So when you take a really long time to knit your baby a touque, you end up with a touque that just barely fits. But look how cute it is on her! (For approx. 3 days, I'm sure).
This little red hat is based on the Lil' Devil Baby touque. But instead of long ties, I knit an earflap/chin strap that buttons up on one side. And it's a good thing; the hat is already so snug, I think it would pop off without it!
It was my first attempt at doing something that is NOT in the pattern.
While out for our walk through Fort Tryon Park today, this mom walking by with her stroller said to me, "She's chewing on her blanket." I said, "Huh?" "She's chewing on her blanket!" Uh, it's not made of asbestos, lady, I think it will be OK. Some people are so weird.
